School of Music faculty nominated as “First Year Champions”

Several School of Music faculty were among those honored at a celebration sponsored by the Provost’s Office and student retention, called First Year Champions. UI faculty were nominated by a first year student in their first three weeks on campus, through a survey delivered through the Provost’s office, to determine ways to help students with their transition to Iowa. Each faculty member was nominated as ‘the person who most helped their transition to Iowa.’ The anonymous survey is a testament to the hard work and dedication of School of Music faculty to their students. Great job!

Thank you to those anonymous students who nominated us. It’s great to know we helped make a difference in your first year experience here at Iowa.
